New to the Shop

Feels like ages since I last posted! That's because it has been AGES! (crickets) Well anywho I am so excited to show a new weekly feature to my Etsy shop.  The new feature will be  a weekly listed item entitled, Outfit of the Week . Each week a new outfit will be listed with it's corresponding number. For instance, this week the outfit is titled, Outfit of the Week No.1. Each outfit will be made in limited quantity and may consist of 2 to 3 pieces in each oufit.

So excited!

The Glam Doll Thursday's: Doll Blankets

I know I know! I am a tad bit late with TheGlamDoll Thursday's, but the work of a budding mompreneur  never ends. This week we are featuring doll blankets TheGlamDoll way. Our blankets are made from flannel that features some very cute prints. The edges have been curved to give each blanket our signature design. All blankets have also been edged with coordinating trim to present a clean finish. I love these blankets! (Kinda makes me wish I was eighteen inches tall so that I could use them) We have many prints with many more to come.

Right now I am working like crazy to get ready for the Trendy Treasure Marketplace this weekend in Perry, GA. If you are in the area or just want to come, browse over this lovely flyer!

TheGlamDoll Thursday's:The Delia Cami set

Hello Hello!I know it is Wednesday, but I was just so excited to share this new series with you! I have to do better with posting, but any who here at anaeve I thought it would be great to do a series that features some of the items in my shop, TheGlamDoll. I thought it would be fun to call it TheGlamDoll Thursday's. This week I will be featuring the Delia Cami set. It is made for 18 inch dolls such as American Girl or Our Generation dolls. It is made from a cotton/spandex knit with lace trimming. It can be machine washed and dried, too! Wouldn't it be great to tuck your doll in at night in this cute camp set!!! Be sure to check out my Etsy shop for other cute items for your doll!

It's a new day!

Hello all of my people! (Crickets) I know people make all of these resolutions that they will post more, talk about all of these different topics, and find a direction for their blog.  All of these things are good. Especially finding a direction for your blog. But I don't to even promise you or myself that. For this new year, I just want to do me. I don't want to compare myself to anyone else. I just want to find a better me - a better me  for me and my family. So won't you come on this journey with me? Come one - I know you all are out there!

So on to my outfit:

My top is Simplicity 2971 which is now out of print. It is made from a luscious knit purchased from Joann's a while ago. This is my second time making this top and I can truly say it goes in the favorite pile. When I put it on I feel glamourous. Give me a chunky necklace and I am ready.

The skirt is MimiG's pencil skirt tutorial. Honey, this skirt is the business. I can tell you that I don't care if I ever sew another type of skirt. Give me about twenty of these and I am cool. The tutorial is easy, doesn't require much fabric,  and goes together fast. I made mine out of Ponte Roma from Hancock's. It stretches just enough and feels great up against the skin. I truly suggest making this skirt in Ponte Roma or something just like it. I did, however, peg it toward the knee a little. I wanted that Basic Instinct skirt look but longer. Hey I don't want to show all of my goodies!!!

Well until next time!

Hello everyone!!! Hugs and kisses, hugs and kisses. As you can see I have changed my blog name again. But wait !!!! I feel this one really reflects who I am . As much as I love to sew and talk sewing, I have other interests. I didn't want my blog to be limited becuase life is limitless.  Why the name ANAEVE? Anaeve is a mash-up of the names of my mom and my grandma . It has sort of a serene bohemian, edgy feel to it and I love it. So what do you say folks? Come along on this journey with me as we explore life, love, family , books, etc. See you later.....
