minute I decided to omit the ties and the band that the elastic is encased in to prevent any extra bulk around my stomack. So all in all , I just used the front skirt piece, pocket piece, and back skirt piece to make the skirt. I added 2inch wide black elastic as a waistbad for the skirt. I am very pleased with how it turned out and plan to make many more. I made a size 22 out of 60in fabric and I swear it only took maybe 1 1/8 yards. Oh yeah there will be more to come!! Don't you just love when you fall back in love with a pattern???
Here is another cardigan and tank that I made the same night as the skirt. I am super excited about these two pieces. They are such standout pieces! I can't promise that I will wear them together, but I will definitely wear them. OK - back to the machine. I hope your machine is SMOKIN' toooo!!!!!!

Is that a woven for the cardigan and tank? Three pieces in one day, you were on fire!
The cardigan and tank are made out of a knit . I want t say it was an ITY knit but I am not sure. Sometimes I can go into my sewing room and just stir up a frenzy!
A frenzy - is an understatement! I can feel your excitement way over here, and it excites me too. The skirt is so CUTE!, and that it was easy to make makes it just that much better. Any chance you have any of that zebra left???, a yard or even 7/8 of a yard, because that cardigan set seems to be calling my name.
OOh I wish I had more of the zebra for you, but I used every bit of it for this cardigan/tank set.I had to squeeze the cardigan out of it. I told Lisa that I kind of felt like "BrotherMan from the fifth floor" on Martin when I wear it. I may be over-exaggerating!!! The fabric does not have as much stretch as I thought. Hey - I am still going to rock it.
